This course builds upon the Introduction to US-American Law and focuses on various aspects of US Commercial Law. Just like during the lectureon US Civil Procedure we will reflect about US Commercial Law from the view point of a German lawyer answering specific questions of commercial nature to aclient. While the primary focus of this lecture will lie on domestic US law such as art.2 and art. 9 UCC, we will also consider international agreements where the United States is a party, such as the American view on the Vienna Sales Convention of 1980 (CISG). At the end of the course there will be a 15-minutes oral exam for a Leistungsnachweis.
