General

Due to an increase in importance of digitalization in almost every profession new juridical problems have emerged which cannot be dealt with sufficiently by the basic juridical education.

The Master Program Digitalization and Law aims at managing the growing amount of legal issues by enabling a detailed specialization on the basis of a basic juridical education. The LL.M. Digitalization and Law is an interdisciplinary program not only providing qualifying knowledge in the areas of IT-law, legal tech, AI, informatics and data protection law but also holding out the prospect of gaining two degrees in one program:

The academic degree „Master of Laws“ (LL.M.) as well as a certificate for the theoretical part of the IT law specialist lawyer (Fachanwalt IT-Recht, § 14k FAO) for lawyers admitted in Germany.

The program is designed for professionals working in the field of information technology teaching basic legal knowledge.
