Rachel Zoepfl was born in London, England.  She studied law and history at Northampton University, England.  After graduating in 2000 she started as a trainee notary at Cheeswrights Notaries Public in the City of London.  Whilst training she completed her Diploma in Notarial Practice at Cambridge University.  During this time she also assisted and undertook a considerable amount of research relating to overseas jurisdictions for the publication of Brooke's Notary, the predominant text book for English notaries.  As part of her training she studied the Italian law and language, and worked at a notarial office in Rome, Italy for six months.  She qualified as a notary in 2004.

In September 2006 she relocated to Germany.  Since then she has worked on legal texts providing German-English precedents in relation to contract law, and is currently working at a company in Würzburg looking after English and Italian legal affairs.
