This course builds upon the Introduction to US-AmericanLaw and focuses on various aspects of US Commercial Law. Just like during the lectureon US Civil Procedure we will reflect about US Commercial Law from the viewpointof a German lawyer answering specific questions of commercial nature to aclient. While the primary focus of this lecture will lie on domestic US law such as art.2 and art. 9 UCC, we will also consider international agreements where the UnitedStates is a party, such as the American view on the Vienna Sales Convention of1980 (CISG). At the end of the course there will be a 15-minutes oral exam for a Leistungsnachweis.
