The research centre has accompanied technological development since its foundation. A number of core research areas have crystallised, not only in numerous projects but also in dissertations. In addition to civil liability law, criminal law and data protection law, other areas of the legal system are also facing new challenges as a result of the development of semi-autonomous systems and artificial intelligence.
