Exchange between academia and industry at relyon AG
06/24/2026The Research Centre for AI and Robotics Law paid a visit to relyon AG in Tübingen. The visit centred on an informal discussion of current issues in AI law, in particular the practical implementation of regulatory requirements in connection with the EU AI Act.
Together with Mirko Tochtermann and the relyon team, practical challenges in the development and deployment of AI applications were discussed. Topics covered included AI compliance, documentation, transparency, and the specific interpretation and implementation of legal requirements in day-to-day business operations.
The research centre has been monitoring legal developments in the field of artificial intelligence since its inception. This exchange with companies enables it to combine academic perspectives with concrete practical experience and to address current issues at an early stage.
At the same time, the visit offered the participating students the opportunity to engage in dialogue with practitioners, gain insights into the work of a company in the AI sector, and discuss legal issues directly on the basis of specific use cases.
We would like to thank Mirko Tochtermann, relyon AG and oneAI for the open discussions and the practical insights.
