Speakers

High-profile practitioners and academics were invited to speak at the event, including Professor Dr Thomas Klindt (partner and solicitor at Noerr), Prof. Dr Martin Andree and Prof. Dr Markus Oermann. Professor Dr. Dr. Eric Hilgendorf (Chair of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure Law, Legal Theory, Information Law and Legal Informatics at the University of Würzburg) highlighted the opportunities offered by the use of artificial intelligence in legal education. Johannes Härtlein (research assistant at the chair of Professor Dr Eric Hilgendorf) contributed his expertise in the field of AI regulation and presented the basic content of the new AI Regulation.

Participation of the Legal Tech Centre

In addition, the Legal Tech Centre team (Svantje Kaibel and Max Schneider) also participated with a practical presentation on the use of AI. In addition to specific challenges and legal issues, illustrative application examples were presented to provide students with helpful guidance on the responsible use of AI.

Conclusion

The AI theme week was a resounding success. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the approximately 300 students, doctoral candidates and professors for their numerous and enthusiastic participation!
