Panel discussion on the book launch "Stadt-Land-Boden. Verbindende Bodenpolitik zwischen Stadt und Land"
| Date: | 10/23/2025, 6:00 PM |
On October 23, 2025, starting at 6 p.m., the publication of the volume “Stadt-Land-Boden. Verbindende Bodenpolitik zwischen Stadt und Land” will be celebrated with a panel discussion at the premises of the Erlöserschwestern (access to the ballroom via Bibrastraße 6). A workshop on this topic will take place the following day.
Land policy issues are forward-looking because they determine whether our livelihoods will be preserved or destroyed. In today's debates on access to, distribution and use of land, the question of ownership is being raised anew: Where should land be privately owned, and where should it be managed as common property? And how can the law prevent the concentration of ownership and ensure that land is used for the common good? The contributions respond with a land policy that connects urban and rural areas and present initiatives and instruments from social movements, science, and administration that enable a more equitable distribution, a more democratic and self-determined administration, and a sustainable use of land.
These topics will be discussed in a panel discussion with Dr. Jan Menkhaus (AK Nordkirche), Edith Sachse (AbL), Prof. Dr. Martin Schneider (Katholische Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt) und Johann Steudle (Rechtsanwalt), moderation: Anne Klingenmeier (junge AbL/Farmers Without Borders) und Katja Schubel (Universität Würzburg) on October 23, 2025, starting at 6 p.m. in the ballroom at Bibrastraße 6.
A workshop on this topic will take place the following day.
