Auszeichnungen des Juristen ALUMNI Würzburg e.V.

Juristen ALUMNI Würzburg e.V. is not only committed to the exchange between generations and the promotion of young legal talent, but also recognises special achievements by students and graduates. To this end, various prizes are awarded in cooperation with partners to recognise outstanding professional achievements and special commitment.

ALUMNI Europe Prize

The ALUMNI Europe Prize is awarded for excellent achievements in European accompanying studies. It is endowed with 500 euros and is awarded at each examination date to the candidate with the best academic performance in the European accompanying studies programme. The award ceremony takes place in the festive setting of the examination ceremony in the Neubaukirche. The prize recognises both the intensive study of European law and the importance of European integration for legal education.

Wolfgang Kuhlen Prize

The Wolfgang Kuhlen Prize is awarded by the Dr Otto Schäfer Foundation (Schweinfurt) to the best graduate of the First Law Examination at the University of Würzburg. It honours Wolfgang Kuhlen, who had almost completed his law studies before he was killed in action during the Second World War in 1942. The prize was donated by Dr Otto Schäfer in 1994 on the occasion of his wife Ida's 80th birthday, in memory of her brother.
