Jun.-Prof. Dr. Carsten Kusche
Jun.-Prof. Dr. Carsten Kusche studied law at the University of Würzburg and, after passing the Second State Examination in Law, worked as a research assistant at the chair of Prof. Dr. Dr. Eric Hilgendorf, under whose supervision he received his doctorate in 2019 on the criminal liability of self-doping. In the area of technology law, he deals with the criminal law dogmatics of the diverse challenges posed by the digitalisation and automation of our living environment. One focus is on issues of platform crime - for example, provider liability, the operation of criminal trading platforms and the phenomena of "fake news" and "hate speech". He has held the junior professorship for criminal law at the University of Mannheim since February 2023.
