The course explains how to set up the MFA, the Wlan and the VPN client of the university on various end devices. It will also show you how to get Microsoft Office 365 free of charge via the university's campus licence. The event is therefore particularly suitable for first-semester students.

The course covers electronic word processing using Microsoft Word with a focus on the preparation of legal essays and seminar papers.
In addition to the basics of using Word, the course focuses in particular on centralised document formatting using style sheets. The course is intended for law students from the first semester onwards and is aimed at both beginners and advanced users alike.
Course content:

* Creating and editing footnotes
* Automatic outline
* Setting up page numbers for cover pages, tables of contents and expert reports
* Creating and inserting an automatically generated table of contents

This course teaches PC skills for researching court decisions, literature and legal materials using legal databases.
The ever-expanding range of resources offers new opportunities for legal professionals:
The arduous journey through the library is often unnecessary; using databases or the internet saves the user time and effort. This
is of particular interest to students, especially with regard to the term papers and seminar papers they need to write.
The aim of the course is to enable students to utilise the possibilities of computer-assisted research for their own work.
The course covers not only the technical capabilities of the most important databases, but also provides guidance on how to identify relevant literature even before using a database.
No prior legal knowledge is required, so participation in the course is recommended from the first semester onwards.
It is recommended that you install the Cisco VPN client before the course .

The course provides an overview of the key features in PowerPoint and prepares students to create their own seminar paper presentation.
The theoretical section is always followed by a practical session in which what has been learnt is applied in exercises. The course is intended for law students in their later years and is specifically aimed at those who have yet to give their seminar paper presentation.

* Introduction to the slide master
* Working with objects (images, videos, links, etc.)

The course covers the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in academic study and professional practice, with a particular focus on fundamental understanding, the legal framework and the practical application of modern AI tools.
In addition to the technical fundamentals of AI and various AI models, the course will address legal issues (e.g. data protection and copyright) as well as the appropriate and responsible use of AI systems. Another key focus is on the practical use of AI, particularly effective prompting for text and image generation.
The course is aimed at law students and is suitable for both beginners and advanced learners alike.
Course content:
* Fundamentals of artificial intelligence and how modern AI models work
* Overview of various AI applications (e.g. text, image and translation models)
* Opportunities and challenges in the use of AI
* Legal aspects, in particular data protection and copyright
* Introduction to the practical application of AI tools
* Fundamentals of prompting (structure, context, roles, key terms)
* Practical examples and exercises in text and image generation
* Guidance on the responsible and transparent use of AI

This course provides fundamental knowledge and practical skills to help students prepare for the online law exam.
The course focuses on the examination software used in the e-exam, as well as practical tips for efficiently completing exam papers on a computer. In addition, participants will learn the 10-finger typing system to increase their typing speed. The course is aimed at law students preparing for their exams and is suitable for both beginners and advanced learners.
