Fees and scholarships
There is a tuition fee and asemester fee for our LL.M. program. The amounts are the same for applicants from all countries.
Tuition fee
Our tuition fee totals € 7,500. It is paid in three instalments of € 2,500 each in the first three semesters before the date of enrolment for the semester in question.
There are no application fees.
Semester fee
Thesemester fee of the University of Würzburg is approx. € 180 per semester. We have no influence on the exact amount, as this is determined by the university each semester. With the payment of the semester fee, you will receive a student ID. The student ID enables you to fully access the university library and use the public transport in Würzburg for free.
If you are unable to complete your Master's thesis and your Oral examination in time during the 3rd semester, you will have to enrol with us for a 4th semester without any further tuition fees. You will only have to pay the semester fees of the University of Würzburg again.
Scholarships and financing
Our degree program does not yet have its own scholarship, but we do accept external scholarships.
Possible scholarships include, amongst others:
The Hilde Domin Programme offered by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) for students who are at risk of being formally or de facto denied educational or other rights in their country of origin.
Scholarships are also available through the Begabtenförderung (talent support) for socially-engaged students with good grades.
Financial support might also be possible through the Bundesausbildungsförderungsgesetz (BAföG) or a KfW student loan.
Further information on external scholarships and funding for international students can be found here.
