History

Reciprocal visits by Prof Liang (University of Beijing) and Prof Hilgendorf (University of Würzburg) as well as a partnership agreement between the two universities led to the founding of the Chinese-German Criminal Law Teachers' Association in summer 2010. Immediately after its founding, the association met with great interest in both Chinese and German criminal law academia.
The new co-operation was rooted in contacts established in the Würzburg project "Global Systems and Intercultural Competence".

Since its foundation, a large number of joint conferences on criminal law topics have taken place, each of which resulted in the publication of a joint conference volume. These can be purchased directly from the Mohr-Siebeck publishing house.
