AI, digitalisation and criminal liability - perspectives from science and practice
The digital transformation poses various fundamental questions for our legal system. On 7 May 2026, experts from various disciplines will discuss the future of justice, responsibilities in the digital world and the opportunities and dangers of new technical innovations in Lecture Hall II of the Old University from 11:30 am. The evolution of traditional jurisprudence into modern "legal data science" will also be discussed.
A central component of the programme is the dialogue between science and practice. Martin Reinhard, Senior Ministerial Counsellor at the Bavarian State Ministry of Justice, will give a keynote speech on this topic. He will provide an insight into the challenges of legislative activity using the example of a current draft to combat criminalised digital content.
All interested parties are cordially invited!
