In 2017, Mongolia fundamentally reformed its criminal code and was largely influenced by German criminal law. The aim of the project "New Criminal Law in Mongolia" is to accompany this process and to deepen the relationship between German and Mongolian criminal law scholarship through the constant exchange of knowledge and experience. The Faculties of Law in Ulaanbaatar and Würzburg have been in close contact since 2014. The partnership was sealed by a cooperation agreement, which was signed by Prof Dr Juujaa Erdenebulgan in Ulaanbaatar in September 2017.
