Racism in the police? Racial profiling in Germany? People of Turkish origin as second-class citizens? Discrimination through and by artificial intelligence? Exclusion at the end of life? - Our society is facing major challenges that are increasingly hampering prosperous coexistence.
The Würzburg Law Alumni are therefore organising a lecture series in the winter semester 2020/21 on the topic: Exclusion, racism, hatred - the right way to deal with the "others". The event will be held as a hybrid, i.e. as a face-to-face and online event (broadcast via Zoom) and will take place on Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Lecture Hall II, Old University. Registration is required for attendance(jaw(at)jura.uni-wuerzburg.de). Further information will be announced in good time.
In accordance with the cabinet decision of the state government of 26 November 2020 and after consultation between the University of Bavaria - Bavarian University Conference - and the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts, the switch to digital teaching will take place from 1 December 2020. It will no longer be possible to offer lectures in face-to-face form this year. Lectures will therefore only take place via Zoom from 1 December 2020 until further notice .
