Event number: 02813510 (2 SWS)

Wed., 12-14 h; Lecture hall II (Old University)

Contents

Modern information and communication technology presents the law with completely new challenges. Criminal law is faced with the task of dealing with classic offences in a technologised guise and countering new forms of crime made possible by the use of computer systems. The course provides a comprehensive overview of computer criminal law, from classic computer fraud and data hacking to the latest criminal manifestations such as domain hijacking and phishing. In particular, selected recent cases will be discussed.
