Expert Opinion on Web Scraping
12/12/2019On 3 December 2019, the German Data Forum (RatSWD), an independent advisory board of the German Federal Government, presented the position paper on Access to and Management of Research Data.
The report has to be understood as a reaction on the upcomming matter of Big Data for scientific research. In the light of the challenges for the law that come up with that, the Forschungsstelle is taking a stance on the new methods of acquiring data. The main author of the "Expert Opinion on Web Scraping in the independent academic research" is our longstanding associate Paul Vogel.
