04/29/2021Artificial intelligence (AI) and data science are key methodologies of our century. For the first time, AI not only digitally stores, transmits and processes data, but also understands and links its content so that decisions can be made knowledge-based and partially or fully automated.
The Center for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (CAIDAS) will focus on these processes and offer courses. In addition to the further development of AI methods, new research topics are to be opened up and the transfer into applications promoted through close links with the various scientific fields at the university. Furthermore, social aspects are also to be comprehensively considered.
As a member of the interdisciplinary centre, Prof. Dr. Dr. Eric Hilgendorf will accompany the current development of AI and the resulting risks from a legal perspective.
